Creekside Intermediate School
We were happy to collaborate with the Dexbots FLL (FIRST Lego League) with a visit to Creekside. Learn more about the Dexbots on their website at dexbots-2016.blogspot.com.

Mill Creek Middle School
The Dreadbots visited Mill Creek on June 2, 2016 during lunch. The team showed off their robot’s capabilities. Students enjoyed catching balls thrown by the robot.

Dexter Memorial Day Parade
We had a fun day showing off our robot during the Dexter Memorial Day parade. We especially enjoyed crowd cheering and clapping for us along with the overheard comments from the crowd of:”Wow, did you see that?”, “It’s a robot!”, and “Can you believe the high school kids built that?!”.

Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum
Tech Twilight at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.
2016 – Duncan teaches a group of kids about how our robot works at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum Tech Twilight event.

April 27-30, 2016 FIRST World Championship
The Dreadbots gave numerous tours to children in our pits during the Championship in St. Louis, MO. Here are some of our favorite tours.
April 27-30, 2016 – Sierra, Cade and Duncan give a VIP tour to a junior Lego league team. They were so much fun, enthusiastic and curious. Engineering has a bright future with these kids.April 27-30, 2016 – Sierra gives a tour of our robot to a couple of kids. They especially liked our ‘sucker-punch’. The girl, who has a sibling on our team, thought she hated robotics. Now she plans to join our robotics team.
April 13-16, 2016
Michigan District State Championship
Our team experienced a couple of big set backs that required hours of repair time. But, we still found time to inspire the next generation of FIRST. We love that we are able to have such a positive impact on our community.
April 13-16, 2016 – A young boy attended the Michigan State Championship Competition with his grandfather. Kathryn gave him the VIP tour. He loved watching our team compete, helping test our ‘sucker-punch’ and ‘driving’ our robot. Here you see Kathryn, Peter and Cade testing the sucker-punch with him. He is now looking into joining a robotics team of his own.

Dexter Community Schools – Cornerstone Elementary Science Night
The Dreadbots had a great time inspiring the next generation of FIRST at a outreach at Cornerstone Elementary School’s Science Night. It was so much fun to see the kids eyes light up when seeing our robots. Here’s a few of our favorite moments that we captured.

Lakeview FIRST Robotics District Competition
We gave several tours in our pit between matches. This is one of the ones we caught.

Kettering University FIRST Robotics District Competition #1
Between matches we were able to give a few tours. Here’s one of our favorites.
March 3-5, 2016 – Two kids that wanted to learn more about robotics and get a tour of our robot. So, of course Isaac and Dr. Sprague gave them a VIP tour. As they were leaving they said to their mom, “Robots are awesome! Can we see if they have a robotics team for us to join in Fenton?” A team member, Kathryn, took them over to the Fenton FRC pit to learn more. The results = Fenton does have a robotics team that they plan to join next year. We love when we can inspire the next generation of FIRST.
