In 2022 we won the Creativity Award at the Jackson District Event
2017 – Gerry holds our Creativity Award won at the Michigan State Championships on April 15, 2017

Celebrates the Alliance that makes it to the final match of the competition.
2018 – The Dreadbots take home the silver medal at the Lincoln District Event.
2017 – The Dreadbots earned the Finalist Award (2nd place) at the Ann Arbor Pioneer District Event on March 11, 2017.
2016 – Our team took 2nd place at the Kettering University FIRST Robotics District Competition #1 on March 3-5, 2016
2015 – We took second place and this Finalist Award was won by the team at the Gull Lake District event.
2013 – At the Kettering district event in 2013 our team took second place.
FIRST Dean’s List Award
Celebrates outstanding student leaders whose passion for and effectiveness at attaining FIRST ideals is exemplary.
2016 – Sierra was announced as a Dean’s List Award semi-finalist at the Lakeview district event on March 12, 2016
Gracious Professionalism® Award
Celebrates outstanding demonstration of FIRST Core Values such as continuous Gracious Professionalism® working together both on and off the playing field.
2018 – Genevieve holds our Gracious Professionalism Award earned on the DTE Energy Field at the Michigan State Championship.
Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen
In honor of Jack Kamen, Dean’s father, for his dedication to art and illustration and his devotion to FIRST. This award celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.
2014 – Our team was rewarded for our redesigned logo through the Imagery Award.
Industrial Design Award
Celebrates form and function in an efficiently designed machine that effectively addresses the game challenge.
2018 – We took home the illustrious Industrial Design Award at the Lakeview District Event. The second one of the 2018 season. Cade proudly shows off our trophy.
2018 – The coveted Industrial Design Award was earned by the Dreadbots for our creative and robust design at the Lincoln District Event.
2017 – Kathryn proudly holds the Industrial Design Award we won at the Gull Lake District Event on March 18, 2017.
2015 – At the Gull Lake district competition our team was presented with the distinguished Industrial Design Award
2013 – Our team was given the coveted Industrial Design Award at the Kettering University district event.
In 2023 we won the Industrial Design Award at the Belleville District Event
Innovation in Control Award
Celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical, or software – to provide unique machine functions.
2022 at the Belleville District Event, the Innovation in Control Award
2016 – At the Lakeview district competition on March 10-12, 2016, Kitty holds the Innovation in Control Award we won for the second time in 2016.
2016 – Our team won the Innovation in Control Award at the Kettering University
FIRST Robotics District Competition #1 on March 3-5, 2016. Zach proudly holds it.
2013 – At the Gull Lake district event we won the Innovation in Control Award.
Judges’ Award
During the course of the competition, the judging panel may decide a team’s unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition.
2016 – The prestigious Judges Award was awarded to our team at the Michigan State Championship on April 16, 2016.
Quality Award
Celebrates machine robustness in concept and fabrication.
In 2021 we won the Quality Award again
2017 – Nathan holds the Quality Award we won at the Ann Arbor Pioneer District Event on March 11, 2017. Nathan lead the creation of the display board showing our process. We earned the award because we can so thoroughly show and describe the design evolution of our climber.
